| Showgames Concluded by Sadida[NR] @ 2004-02-29 21:00:11 | Things went very smoothly this week for the Showmatch. There were no major issues this time, and things went very well online. It seemed to be a very enjoyable experiences for the Pro-Users that were observing the game, the many people that were listening to the live shoutcast, and of course many people will enjoy watching the replays.
Kaj won the series 3-2 in a series of very close games. The first game is now a Top Replay, but they were all played very well, despite the brevity in some of them. Congratulations to both players, as you both did an excellent job, and especially Congruatlions to Kaj who has won three weeks in a row now, and is certainly a very strong contender. He will be tough to beat, but next week there will probably be a new challenger willing to see what he can do about it.
A big thanks to Zolex from GameSports for casting this event. The Shoutcast had a huge turnout, and it was an incredible cast to listen to.

Even this Showmatch was nice and well played by both, was it a bit boring.
CADX2, as usual, experimented with Units, Heros and Strats and played an very entertaining Match.
Kaj only did the usual, and what all NE do nowadays: Quick Tank (err, Hero) DH, Boots of GG, and massed Tier1 Units - later he add some DotT.
Who can tell me, what CADX2 did wrong in the Games on 2Rivers and Tirisfal? He used a normal BO, made a Hero and Units and though, he was raped by a handfull of NE Units.
THIS is what i consider imbalance. Because on small/tiny Maps, NE is hopeless overpowered vs certain Races. (at least between high level players, who know how to handle their units proper) ... This and Boots of Speed have to go. They simply give a too huge Advantage for some Heros (warden, dh, dk, mk) what can (and do!!) decide a Game!
Ok, this was my opion about this match.. If you want to flame me now for this, please take a minute and objectively(!!) think about the above said.

Yeah bossi ! So true : Getting 6 grunts 2 catas fs/sh or fs/tc and 3 towers is pure skill i guess :)
Didn't u read the blizz survey in which 53 % of ne vs orc mu above lvl 20 end in favour of orc ? In the game grubby vs insomnia, grubby himself says, after just havimg beaten apm70 that it is not THAT hard to beat ne as orc ! And stop crying imba if someone has found a suitable counter to your strat kid !

you didn't read my post correct i guess .... i did not complain about general imba.. i talk in special about tiny maps with shop (for boots) combined with the maybe strongest and fastest hero in the game: DH ... look how he raped twice the orc player and he did not made a mistake ... the fact that the orc didn't made a mistake and got raped like a noob just from a single hero (remember, orc have hero + burrows to defend but it didn't helped at all) means, that there is something not okay with a certain matchup on certain maps. the picture on medium/large maps was completely different.

Flash ... you know why 6 Grunts, 2 Catas, FS/SH or FS/TC and Tower win vs NE? This is what one call a unit mix! ... watch the common NE replay: solo DH or Warden + mass Tier 1 units (usually at 0/0 because an upgrade could mean one less archer ;)) and the trust in some "not so balanced things" ... since day 1 of WC3 is it a shame, that cheese or massing one unit is too often > unit mix .. but this is a game related imba, not the fault of the players :)

Bossi ur a idiot, even the biggest Rt noob knows that orc has an advantage over Ne, and about map balance, thats always been that way, Lt=human map, Pi= Ne map etc
and i can't believe u actually think towers are less boring that a massed Ne army

to beat orc with humans 1. u need to creep extremly well e.g. insomnia and 2. micro extremely well e.g. insomnia...3, have extremely precise timeing e.g insomnia ......and guess what......... not everyone is insomnia.....
all the orc player does is make units and attack which is just 1 thing......humans need 3 or more special requirements...im beggining to believe very much now that the ORC is SOOO IMBALANCED!
those fat fuking orcs dont die easy and i hate them the most followed by NE!
cad is stylish with orc however!

#Side-affect I really hope that is sarcasm because if that is your opinnion on the orc vs human MU you have for sure never tried it from the orc's side. I would say that two equal skilled players fighting each other in the beginning will result in equal losses offcourse only if the human does the only wise thing: to camp slightly nearby his base until the orc player gets bored by harashing with grunts FS because eventually he will cause of you arcane tower and WE. After that when you reach tier 2 you offcourse gets your Mk and sorc INITIAL and riflemen. After this point you will aproximately have around 5-8min where this combo (perhaps some priest+breakers) will be supperior against almost anything the orc can throw against you. and after those minutes you should have won

#28 Lets put it this way....it takes a lot more skill to counter an orcs attack with a human than it is for an orc to attack a human.........and it takes a lot more skill for a human to attack the orcs than it is for the orcs to counter a human!l
